Description

Die Festung Europa nimmt Gestalt an. Die EU schottet sich ab gegen Flüchtlinge, deren Armut sie durch ihre fragwürdige Subventionspolitik mit verursacht. Die Folgen: Für Flüchtlinge wird es immer gefährlicher, in die EU zu gelangen. Es wird geschätzt, dass jeder vierte Flüchtling im Mittelmeer ertrinkt.

Die Preisgabe der Menschenrechte an Europas Grenzen ist Thema des Abends und des gleichnamigen Buches. Sabine am Orde und Christian Jakob, MitautorInnen des Buches und beide auch für die taz schreibend, stellen sich der Diskussion.

Eine Veranstaltung im Rahmen des Jahresthemas Bewegungsfreiheit und Migration im Bildungswerk Berlin der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung
