Kein Zweifel, soziale Medien und das web 2.0 verändern den politischen Aktivismus und schaffen neue Formen der sozialen Vernetzung. „Soziale Bewegungen und Social Media" http://www.sozialebewegungen.org/ (Wien 2011) ist ein umfangreiches Handbuch zum Einsatz von Social Media, das Beispiele aus der digitalen Welt des Widerstands vorstellt und die Schnittstellen zwischen online und offline Aktivismus offen legt.
