This World Humanitarian Day, ActionAid Australia is supporting the real heroes – women in communities, who are always the first to respond when disasters strike. When women are supported to lead humanitarian response, they ensure that everyone in their community is protected. And at the same time, they create new spaces for women to lead their communities beyond the emergency.
On Saturday the 19th August, we’ll be leading a She is the Real Hero Celebratory March across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge to commemorate womanitarians all over the world.
We’ll be bringing together some of the best in Sydney’s women’s movement, and would love for you to join us! Register today and share this information with any friends you think would like to join.
