Islamische Mustermacher waren Künstler und Mathematiker zugleich. Sie schmückten architektonische Bauten und Gegenstände des täglichen Gebrauchs mit flächenfüllender Ornamentik und komplexen Mustern, die endlos weitergeführt werden könnten. Wie ist das möglich? Welche Grundformen findest du? Welche Systematik liegt den Mustern zugrunde? Künstlerisch-experimentierend ergründest du Konstruktionsprinzipien: Mit Holzformen, Stempeln und Schablonen entstehen Skizzen, Frottagen und Stempelbilder. Dein schönstes Muster überträgst du auf ein Wandbild.
