**Gem Andrews**’ Musik ist eine vielseitige Mischung aus Country Folk bis punkigem Rock. Zuhause zwischen Newcastle upon Tyne, Bristol und Berlin, schreibt und interpretiert Gem ihre Folk- und Country-Songs mit erschütternder Ehrlichkeit und Ursprünglichkeit. Getragen von harmonischen Melodien und zusammengehalten von ihrer kraftvollen Stimme kann sich ihrem Kosmos niemand entziehen. Ihre Lieder sprechen eine intime, rührende und auch manchmal wütende Sprache. In ihrem Album „North“ reisen wir durch den Nordosten Englands, wobei Gem auch gesellschaftskritische Themen wie Armut, Gemeinschaft, Not und Depression nicht scheut.
