Description

Ai Weiwei gilt als wichtigster chinesischer Künstler der Gegenwart, als unbequemer Chronist von Unterdrückung und Leid, die er in seinen Kunstwerken einfängt. "Human Flow"steht direkt in dieser Tradition. In 23 Ländern hat Ai gefilmt und fängt dabei sowohl das unfassbare Ausmaß dieses Phänomens ein. Gleichzeitig gelingt es ihm, einzelne Schicksale zu isolieren und in seinen erschütternden Bildern von Menschen in Lagern, in kleinen Booten festzuhalten, in einem bemerkenswerten Film.
