JIMOURNEY SOUND PRESENTS #5:
MARGARETH KAMMERER (Italy/Berlin) DJ BUTI (Jo'berg, South Africa) MUGGLESTONE HIFI (Colorado, 'Murika) DJ SEND THE FRIEND (Thessaloniki) JIMOURNEY SOUND (Berlin)
JIMOURNEY SOUND 1UPS ourselves one more time to present our biggest lineup to date:
4 diverse acts all very close to our hearts which you impulsively, compulsively, intrinsically need to hear.
Margareth Kammerer is the ghostly, ethereal folk voice behind countless theatre and festival performances and group works the world over. Her unique style crosses prewar blues and ancient folk with the modern techniques and structures employed by the “Echtzeit” scene in Berlin.
The power and command she wields has led her to collaborate with an impressive list of artists including: Chris Abrahams, Fred Frith, Luciano Chesa, Seby Ciurcina, Otomo Yoshihide, Paolo Angeli, Axel Dörner, Jason Forrest and many more.
We are honoured to be joined by DJ Buti from Johannesburg, South Africa. Anyone with an ear the the ground knows that the most exciting developments in dj culture have been coming out of the major cities of South Africa for decades now, and Buti is right in the middle of that. This passionate and straight-talking talking dude is a new addition to our Berlin family and we are happy to host him before he blows up!

Mugglestone Hi-Fi is the dj ego of musician Big Daddy Mugglestone. Anyone who has seen him behind the drums knows him as a feverish ball of energy, and I've seen him barter for 45s with the same moxy: He spins vinyl only mixes of Latin Fuzz-Moroccan Boogaloo-Western Kitsch-French Freakbeat-Japanese Schlager and more...

DJ SEND THE FRIEND: The doorkeeper of Thessaloniki late night bar culture, seeking mp3s where no mortal would dare look, drinking booze even immortals would turn down – you know who we mean, Berlin.
Plus your charming hosts, JIMOURNEY SOUND!
