For the first edition of Bird´s Soul we found some amazing artists from the slowhouse and oriental scene. Bringing people and artists of all kind together and let them have a good time is their ambition.

Shkoon (Underyourskin Records) / Oriental House / Live
Jugurtha (Underyourskin Records) / Oriental House / Live
Paul Valentin(DARK MATTERS) / Slow House / Dj
HARI Erhardt (Plötzlich Musik / Bassbotanik) / Deep / Dj
Mouma (Beirut) / Slow House / Dj

Shkoon are two syrians and a german, who are mixing the cultures and sounds of orient and occident. They show that different cultures can enrich each other. Ameen, Thorben and Maher developed their own sound of arabic melodies mixed with classic harmonic structures, enriched with baselines and kicks. Piano, synthesizer, drum machine, violin, percussion and vocals find their new home in oriental Slow-House.

Jugurtha is a project to reconcile East West South and North thru music & ideas. Begining by enshrouding mid-to-late twentieth century Middle East & Barbarian legends with silky smooth modern electronic music.Creating a wide new musical landscape grasping together traditional & modern instruments, voices, old recordings, and contemporary techniques…

Paul Valentin - As a musician he combines acoustic with electronic, analogue with digital. the results are cinematic interpretations of electronic music, organic sound with patina and dirt. Paul Valentin estimates the possibility to explain himself without words but through noises and harmonies that he field records where promising sounds are waiting to be registered.

HARI Erhardt is a producer, DJ and label-manager, who loves to feel the moment. Finding the right emotions for an event and creating unforgettable moments is his goal. He surprises the audience with a mixture of all kinds of music. Sometimes slow and groovy, sometimes straight forward techno. It depends on the location, setting and emotions of the people and himself. Thats how he creates sets between closed eyes and raised hands.

Mouma - Ever since he discovered his passion for music in 1998,
Mouma was drawn into the art of deejaying. He started mixing
at a time when electronic music wasn’t mature in the region
and mainstream had taken over the night life.
Soon after, and while the electronic music scene started
growing, Mouma developed his style in mixing electronic and
oriental sounds. He has now emerged as one of the pioneer
Oriental Deep house DJs. In his travels, Mouma collects various traditional aspired sounds from around the world to musically bridge the gap between cultures. Mouma tries to take his listeners on a spiritual journey of love and peace across the Arabian lands.
