Eine Sneak Preview (von englisch to sneak [sniːk] „schleichen“, preview [ˈpɹiːvjuː] „Vorschau“) oder kurz Sneak, zu Deutsch „Überraschungspremiere“, ist eine Art Vorpremiere, bei der ein Film im Kino vor dem nationalen Filmstart gezeigt wird, ohne dass die Besucher beim Kartenkauf jedoch wissen, welcher es sein wird. Die in einer Sneak Preview gezeigten Filme laufen erst einige Wochen später offiziell an. Oft werden Werke abseits des Hollywood-Mainstreams gezeigt. Dies ist ein weiterer Umstand, der eine Sneakpreview für Cineasten interessant werden lässt. (Wikipedia)
