DJ Matar ist der Star der senegambischen Community in Berlin. Geboren in Sénégal, legt er seit 16 Jahren in Berlin auf, von Mabalax bis Naija-Pop, von Dancehall bis Azonto, früher im Sunugaal Cafè, Bohannon und Lumumba Club, heute von Yaam bis Chesters. Bei uns sorgt er heute zusammen mit Florian Sievers für einen entspannten nachmittäglichen Westafrica-Meltdown, mit Golden-Era-Musik von Prince Nico Mbarga bis Orchestre Baobab, von Orchestre Poly-Rhythmo bis Amara Touré oder Super Étoile de Dakar.
