Die 22-jährige Gabrielle leidet unter dem Williams-Beuren-Syndrom (WBS). Das bedeutet kognitive Intelligenzminderung und motorische Einschränkung, führt aber auch zu Stärken im sozialen und emotionalen, vor allem im musikalischen Bereich. Im Chor der Therapiegruppe lernt sie einen unter dem gleichen Syndrom leidenden jungen Mann kennen. Beide verlieben sich ineinander und möchten zusammenleben. Doch ihre Umgebung duldet diese Liebe nicht. Gegen alle Widerstände und Vorurteile pocht das Paar auf Akzeptanz.
