description:
For #Womenstrike 2018, we will be in solidarity with our striking comrades, providing support so that women and non-binary people can strike from wage labour and from the unpaid work of care. This open meeting will plan how to provide food and childcare for the events on 8th March.

We hope to model socialised and collectivised alternatives that show how a society could run, with care communal rather than isolated, and not dependent primarily on any one gender.

As many of us know, and as we've all found while doing this work at women’s strike meetings and events - cooking, cleaning and childcare can be enjoyable when done together.

We need enough people to provide food and childcare for the day so that women can withdraw their labour. Come to the meeting on the 16th Feb and let’s try to break the gendered division of labour, creating collective solutions to the problems we face under capitalism, so that we might fight it.

All are welcome to join. We particularly encourage men to step up, especially those without children or responsibilities of care on a daily basis.

We care so that they may strike!
