This event at FULLNODE_Berlin is following a series which started in Amsterdam and will take place in London and Berlin. This is also a heads up for the RCON3 Conference in Berlin from the 3th-6th of September (see previous one).
The Seattle-based RChain coop is building a scalable, secure and sustainable 3rd generation blockchain infrastructure aiming to serve as a mission critical backbone for a digital society at a global scale. RChain is a decentralized, economically sustainable public compute infrastructure. While the RChain design is inspired by that of earlier blockchains, it also realizes decades of research across the fields of concurrent and distributed computation, mathematics, and programming language design.
RChain is the brainchild of Greg Meredith, a mathematician, computer scientist and software engineer who is working already 30+ year on concurrent programming. Blockchain was the missing puzzle piece to finally enable global distributed computing based on the principles of the rho-calculus.
RChain is a great example of how decentralized technologies can be organized in the hands of a coop & how such a coop can work towards shared protocols and schemas to help catalyze the collaborative economy.
