The ActionAid Sydney group invites you to the ActionAid Sydney offices for a film screening of The Shore Break combined with a night of activism.

If you'd like to come along, RSVP here >> http://act.ai/SYDFilmScreening

We will be watching The Shore Break – a documentary that follows a local community’s struggle against foreign mining.

The documentary reflects the themes of our current campaign, which supports local women in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, who are campaigning to stop a new coal mine. Australia’s export credit agency Efic, is considering funding the coal mine and in doing so risks funding human rights abuses.

Come along to be connected up with a group of like-minded people who will campaign, collaborate, learn and engage in the important issues of justice and equality for women everywhere.
We will be combining a fun night of socialising and movie viewing with activism to further our campaign.
