California Latinas for Reproductive Justice invites you to participate in the first of four Leadership and Resistance workshops series! We will begin being with a screening of the film No Más Bebés followed by Reproductive Justice Training.

Participants will learn about the history of reproductive oppression in the United States, highlighting a local example. No Más Bebés shares the story of latina immigrant mothers who sued LA County doctors, the state of California, and the US government after they were tricked into sterilizations in the 1960s and 1970s.

In the training segment of the workshop, we will explore the ways in which our communitites continue to face reproductive oppression and learn how Latinas in California are shifting state policy to be more inclusive and intersectional. We will also share strategies on how to implement the reproductive justice framework in our community organizing and political advocacy.

*** SPACE IS LIMITED, please register any and all guests.

We will provide lunch and snacks for all participants. Child care and translation support will also be available.

All sessions will be held at the Huntington Park Library from 10am-1pm. Click on flyer for the full training series details.
