What is Reiki?
Reiki is a healing technique founded in Japan but made popular in the US. Reiki means life force energy. It involves a practitioner placing their hands lightly on the clients head and many positions on the body, to open up energy centers (or chakras) in the body. The client is fully clothed and can be seated or lying down. This light touch, can feel like waves, or a tingling sensation. It provides immense relaxation and calm in the body. The calm feeling is often accompanied by a feeling mental clarity.
