King’s ABSoc are delighted to announce that we will be hosting an event called 'Neofeminism & Islam' on Wednesday 7th February in commomeration of Lady Fatima (ع). We will have a lecture and Q&A by Dr Sayed Ammar Nakshawani, poetry by Sayed Haidar Jaizany and Qur'an recitation by Amjad Aleshaiker, beginning at 5:30pm!

Lecture topic: Neofeminism & Islam.

A short synopsis of what will be covered during the lecture includes:
- does Patriarchial Dominance exist?
- Culture v Religion: does it affect our perspective of women? 
- what are the Legal and Quranic Traditions? 
- is there a difference between Middle Eastern & Western mindset? 
- Will women ever be the Mufti or Marja Taqleed?
- The Fatimid Paradigm.

Please come down for what will be a insightful and informative evening commemorating Lady Fatema (ع).

Please note, doors will open at 5:30PM sharp.

Location: B5 Auditorium, Franklin-Wilkins Building, Waterloo campus. (Nearest tube & train station: Waterloo)

Tickets are required for everyone attending the event (KCL and non-KCL). No ticket = no entry! There is limited ticket availability - please purchase a free ticket as soon as possible from the eventbrite link to avoid disappointment (Deadline: 07/02/18 11AM)
