One of the spiritual elements, our Sacred Fire, is our ancestral centering, for guidance, security, and insights into life. It is a sacred space that represents the energy of life and the spirit within us, that also connects us to the heart of our Mother Earth. It is a space for meaningful talking circles. Let us honor this space with positive words, poems, and songs of healing, hope, and wellness for our communities, the planet, and for all generations. This will be a 100 Thousand Poets For Change event.

Protocol: Depending on number of people, each poet/musician can sign up and we will keep going around. Elders have requested that there is no profanity to maintain the sanctity of the fire. Women are encouraged to wear skirts or tie a sarong on. Try not to disturb spaces when there are offerings being made. Poets will have the opportunity to make individual or group offerings. Enter the circle only at designated openings, and move in a counterclockwise direction around the fire.

There will be a dinner starting at 5:30 for the Gathering, followed by the poetry reading. Come early in the day and enjoy!
