description:
Come learn the basics of starting a worker cooperative in this fun information session hosted by the NYC Network of Worker Cooperatives (NYCNOWC) and the Community and Worker Ownership Project (CWOP) at the The Murphy Institute for Labor Studies at CUNY. You will also have the chance to hear from worker-owners of successful cooperative businesses here in New York City. This info session is the kick-off of a series of training sessions on starting a working cooperative. The next sessions will be "Building a New Economy: A People's Guide" on July 19th and "Business Model Canvas" on July 25th, both from 6-9pm. This info session will be at Starr Bar and the next two will be at Mayday Space. A weekend intensive training will be held in September. All sessions are free and open to everyone!

This series will be run in English.
