Join Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, Co-Chairs of the Poor People's Campaign along with Border Network for Human Rights for a Community March and Mass Meeting of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival on Sunday, October 22 from 3pm to 5pm.

At 3 pm we will bring together clergy, activists and the communities at the border for a Community March. The Community March will begin at Cafe Mayapan, 2000 Texas Ave., El Paso, TX 79901. Together we will march from Cafe Mayapan to Armijo Recreation Center, 700 E. 7th Ave., El Paso, TX 79901 for a Poor People's Campaign Mass Meeting.

The Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival will feature music, testimonies, and interfaith calls to action.

Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival aims to build a broad and deep national moral fusion movement – rooted in the leadership of the poor, marginalized and moral agents and reflecting the great moral teachings – to unite our country from the bottom up.

The call for a Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival has emerged from more than a decade of work by grassroots community and religious leaders, organizations and movements fighting to end systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, environmental destruction & related injustices and to build a just, sustainable and participatory society. We draw on the history, vision and unfinished work of the 1968 Poor People’s Campaign.

There is a resounding call to save the very soul of this nation: We need a new Poor People’s Campaign for a Moral Revival in America. It is time to become a new and unsettling force in our complacent national life.
