We are marching for women’s rights, social justice, and equality for all communities. Q: Where does the march begin? It begins at 10 am at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1816 Routh St., Dallas, Texas 75201 Q: Where does the march end? The march ends at Pike Park, 2807 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75201. Q: What is the distance for the march? The distance from St. Paul United Methodist Church to Pike Park is about 1 mile. Q: When is the Rally? The Rally will take place at the end location, Pike Park. We are expecting to arrive around 10:45 am. We will have music and a line-up of speakers at the rally. The rally is expected to last approximately 1 hour. Q: Are children welcome? All are welcome! Bring your friends and the entire family. At Pike Park, there is a children’s playground. Q: What if I can’t make the march? You do not have to march to join us for the rally! You can meet us at Pike Park for the rally. There are also other events highlighting women throughout the weekend. Q: Is the march only for women? Everyone is welcome! We are marching for women’s rights and equal justice for all communities. Bring your friends and family! Q: Will you have sign language interpreters. Yes, we will. We have partnered with leaders and organizations who specialize in disability accommodations to help make sure that we make this event as accessible as possible to everyone. Q: What is the closest DART stop? The Pearl DART Station is the nearest DART rail line stop to St. Paul UMC, the starting location. DART Bus 24 and Bus 31 have stops at the intersection of Ross & Routh near St. Paul UMC (do not get off at the St. Paul Station which is further away from St. Paul United Methodist Church.) The Victory DART Station is the nearest DART rail line stop to Pike Park, the ending location. DART Bus 27 and Bus 183 have stops at the intersection of Harry Hines Blvd. and Wolf St., near Pike Park. Q: Where do we park? We highly encourage the use of public transportation. However, there are numerous parking spaces near St. Paul United Methodist Church and in various parking lots near the church. Q: Can we bring signs? Yes, you can bring signs. We ask that you do not bring signs with profanity or obscene and/or offensive language. Q: How do we return to the starting point? We highly encourage the use of public transportation. Q: What items should we bring to donate to Hope’s Door New Beginning Center and Genesis Women’s Shelter ? Hope’s Door New Beginning Center in Garland and Genesis Women’s Shelter both support women who are survivors of domestic violence and abuse. We want to support them so please consider donating the following items: sanitary pads and tampons, hand and body soap, toilet tissue and paper towels, wash cloths, bath towels, and cleaning products for home and laundry. These products will help women in need. We are coordinating with various organizations and will be posting various drop-off locations leading up to the march. Q: Can our organization participate or host? Any organization interested in participating is welcome to bring their group to the event. All are welcome.
