description:
Nearly one year ago, 5 million people around the globe stood together in solidarity as a call to support the fight for, and protection of, human rights for all.

On the anniversary of the largest coordinated protest in U.S. history, we are called on once again to come together. This time to bring our collective power to where we can hit the hardest: the polls.

Hear from representatives around our diverse community opened by Regina Tsosie and MC’d by LULAC local chapter President Attorney Jazmin Newton-Butt, including:

Jo Ironshield of Sage Sisters of Solidarity
Brandy Donaldson
Tami Haught
Latrice Lacey
Molly Rinell
Tee LeShoure
Michelle Royal
Laura Helena Rodriguez
Emily Harvey
Dirk Hillard
Kate Revaux
And of course more to be updated.

Kieran Benson, Jada Veasey, Gabby Hoeper, Sarah McCollough, and Katie Moore will be presenting a group poem on behalf of the Rocky Riveters.

Amber Tucker and Bambi Suits will be interpreting simultaneously into ASL as well!

Following the speakers, we will be marching to the County Clerk’s Office just a few blocks away, so dress warm!

We will have voter registration booths for both Scott and Rock Island counties, so bring two approved forms of ID* to get registered! We will also have forms for mail-in voting in Rock Island County.

Parking is fairly limited in the district so please! Public transportation is a fantastic tool, and ride shares are always encouraged!

As always: Bring your spirit and bring your signs!

*Approved ID for IL voter registration include: Two forms of identification with at least one showing your current residence address are needed when you register in-person. If you register by mail sufficient proof of identity is required by submission of your driver's license number or State identification card number. If you don't have either of those, verification by the last 4 digits of the your social security number, a copy of a current and valid photo identification, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows your name and address will be required. A person may also demonstrate sufficient proof of identity by submission of a photo
identification issued by a college or university accompanied by either a copy of the applicant's contract or lease for a residence or any postmarked mail delivered to the applicant at his or her
current residence address.
