"Sound & Word" goes on with a poetry reading by Kwame Write exploring what time means when human attachment to its function is deconstructed. The artist looks at the difference between Western mechanical and African emotional time and makes monologues engaging the concept of physical clock units juxtaposed with time based on African electronics. Field recordings and dubstep snippets by Betty Stürmer are going to interact with the spoken poetry. His work explores how the constructs of science can engage the liberties of art. He writes on Ghana's art, music and culture for Culture Trip and MusicInAfrica[dot]net. He is the author of Ananse makes Aurora and the founder of Inkfluent which organizes Nkabom Literary Festival and Slam Ghana. As performer she joined from 1988 to 1992 the “Audio Kleider”/Benóit Maubrey, USA/Germany, electronic sculptures group and played in the noize group Guitar Monkeys. After a period of soloperformances with objectdresses, she invented 1995 the participative audio performance DJ Everybody – the democratic happening and participated the 90’s berlin club art movement actively also with her visual works in Berlin Underground and International.
