Making Feminism a Threat Again: Organising a UK Women’s Strike in 2018

March 8th 2017 women across the world went on strike - thousands of women marched, assembled and withdrew their labour from both paid and unpaid jobs. In the US the International Women’s Strike platformed six intersectional and radical demands. In Ireland, women used the strike to push for repeal of the 8th amendment that makes abortion constitutionally impossible in Ireland. We will reflect on our experiences of feminist organising and plan for a 2018 UK Women’s Strike. Meeting is open to all genders. We will amplify the voices and experiences of women marginalised and silenced by decades of neoliberalism directed towards the 99% of women.
