The Vagina Museum is pleased to present a screening of the film Teeth:

"Still a stranger to her own body, a high school student discovers she has a physical advantage when she becomes the object of male violence."

"Teeth" is a black comedy horror film released in 2007 and tells the story of Dawn O'Keefe, who has teeth guarding her vagina - also called vagina dentata. When she learns this, she sets out to get revenge on all the men who have wronged her.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Amanda DiGioia, who researches the crossover between horror and feminism. DiGioia is an American Werewolf in London and a PhD student at SSEES, University College London. Amanda's work has been published in Horror Studies, Metal Music Studies, and Fan Phenomena: Game of Thrones. Amanda's first book, Childbirth and Parenting in Horror Texts: The Marginalized and the Monstrous, came out this July via Emerald Academic Publishing.

Doors open at 7pm
Film starts at 7.30pm (run time 88 minutes)
Q&A starts at 9.15pm
