Working solo, in duets and in groups this workshop is for anyone - whether you want to experiment with new forms of self-expression, feel a little more empowered, breath more deeply, move or let go! Through simple guided movement improvisations and explorations this workshop invites women to: • Support each-other’s sense of unity, community & strength. • Explore corporal self-expression, spontaneity, movement & sensory awareness • Invigorate curiosity & re-connection with self • Breath more consciously The workshop will be influenced by Mirto’s ongoing interest surrounding fear and her new performance work in development called The Army, which sees women unite through a language of ‘marching drills’ in public spaces since 2016. Anton Mirto has creates a safe environment for free expression & exploration. Intrinsically process led, her practice provides space & value to acts that release & restore. As Artistic Director of A2company she has devised, performed in & directed performance works for platforms including: The Place, Royal Opera House, Tate Modern, ICA, as well as in France, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Israel & Austria. As an independent artist, she has shown in Cape Town, for Infecting the City Festival.
