Sylvia Pankhust and Silvio Corio
Exhibition by Alfio Bernabei

opens 16 March 2018 - closes 13 May 2018

The London-based Italians who set up the first anti-fascist group of activists in Soho in 1922 are at the heart of this exhibition organized by ANPI-LONDON that will open at Charing Cross Library, Westminster. Silvio Corio was an important member of this group. Sylvia Pankhurst was the first well-known British figure to raise the alarm about the menace of fascism. The couple remained active participants in the anti-fascist campaign during the 1920s and 1930s. Following on our two previous exhibitions “Dangerous Characters” and “Mussolini’s Folly “, “SYLVIA AND SILVIO” will shed more light on the activities of this inspiring partnership.
