Lady Parts Justice League and Shift. invite you to join Lizz Winstead (co-creator of the Daily Show), Ian Harvie (Transparent), and Joyelle Nicole (Night Train with Wyatt Cenac) for drinks and laughs before the Orange Peener-in-Chief starts to regulate that too! Immediately following the show, Lizz will moderate a talkback with local reproductive health activists and providers from Whole Woman's Health! It's a great chance for you to learn about what is happening right there in your neighborhood, connect with local organizations, smash abortion stigma, and get involved! Lady Parts Justice League is a team of comedians, writers, and producers that uses humor to destigmatize abortion and expose the extremist anti-choice forces working to destroy access to reproductive rights in all 50 states. We do the job the media doesn't, creating provocative and hilarious videos and social media content that educates people about the pervasive, discriminatory abortion laws that profoundly and disproportionately impact poor women and women of color. Shift. is a non-profit organization based in Austin that is working to strategically shift the stigma around abortion in our culture. We strive to educate and build community power to transform the political and cultural landscape around abortion and reproductive health. We are committed to fostering open and honest conversations, lifting up all communities, and advocating for reproductive freedom. Whole Woman's Health is a privately-owned feminist organization, committed to providing holistic care for women, including abortion care. It is our philosophy that each woman must be at the center of her own healthcare decisions, and that treating each woman holistically— honoring her head and her heart as well as her body — will better serve women and improve women’s health and happiness in our communities. Whole Woman's Health was founded in Austin in 2003 and now has six facilities nationwide. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes! You need to be 18 years or older or have an adult with you. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Contact Amber Gavin at amber@ladypartsjusticeleague.com
