The Conference „Empower Women Now! Creating a culture of recognition and reconciliation in Kosovo “ will bring together national and local legislators and authorties, NGOs active in Kosovo and the Western Balkan to share profesional expertise to contribute their distinct viewpoints as incentives for further constructive in-depth discussions.
Within the frame of the conference, three distinct objectives shall be reached: Firstly, the conference will raise the awareness of Politicians, the general public, and the media about conflict-related sexual violence and the situation of survivors in Kosovo. Secondly, public attention will be focused on the amended law and affected survivors will be informed about access strategies to pensions and other benefits related to the amended law. Thirdly, the regional women’s network will be strengthened significantly and will profit from the sharing of knowledge and experiences with women’s rights NGOs from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
