Good news!!
When we offered this workshop on 11.02. for the first time, we had more registrations than available places. For those of you who were interested but could not participate in February, we are offering this workshop again!!!

NO FILTER // 2. Edition
a practical comic workshop on body and beauty norms (auf Englisch und Deutsch):

The workshop is divided to different drawing exercises and discussion around the theme. These are:
- a drawing warm-up to get our ink flowing!
- a fast-paced, collective drawing exercise
- drawing longer stories of our own

The workshop aims to find out and critically explore conventions and norms around bodies and beauty standards. What is considered beautiful, normal, functional, attractive or desirable? Who is healthy and strong? How have our societies gone awry in a quest to define normal, define an impossible boundary in which we are wrapped whether we want that or not? How do we struggle against, are affected, push through and fight against for a change?

All the drawings created in the workshop will (with permission) be published in a zine, put together by Henna.

No prior drawing experience necessary! Languages: English and leichter Deutsch.

Participation fee: 5,00 Euros. The seminar is for 4-15 participants.
Please register: 030-78 95 93 94 or susiprogramm@aol.com

Henna Räsänen (FI) is political comic artist and event organizer. Their work focuses on portraying queer and punk life through understanding, honest and prickly humor, as well as commenting the current political situation in North-Europe.
