Join us in celebrating the publication of the 25th anniversary edition of Judith Katz's novel Running Fiercely Toward a High Thin Sound (Bywater Books). Of Katz's 1992 novel author Elana Dykewomon wrote, "What a gift to the world--this modern classic blend of magic-realism, Jewish fable, and lesbian drama is every bit as powerful today as I remember." The book won both the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Fiction and the Crawford Award.

The event is in room 207A of Lind Hall.

Katz is also the author of The Escape Artist. She has received Bush Foundation, McKnight Foundation, and National Endowment of the Arts fellowships for fiction. She is an academic advisor for the Departments of English and Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies.
