Let's make banners and placards together for International Women's Day! Reclaim the radical history International Women's Day - raise the banner of workers' rights as a feminist issue and celebrate the power of women who strike!

Join us in the UCL occupation in support of the UCU strike to make banners and chat about feminism and why workers' rights are a feminist issue. Marketisation of our universities is worsening the gender pay gap, allowing employers to maximise profits and job insecurity, pushing the lowest paid and most precarious workers, who are mostly women, further into poverty. Meanwhile Picturehouse workers are also on strike for International Women's Day, fighting for a living wage, secure contracts and maternity and paternity pay.

On March 8th we'll be joining London Women's Strike on the UCU picket lines to make the link between feminism and workers' rights on campus, before joining the Women's Strike march which will pass and end up at Picturehouse Central's picket line for the International Women's Day Strike!

The occupation is outside the Provost's office in the South Cloisters, which is just off the main quad.

See you there, bring your friends, bring materials if you can but we'll have lots to spare!
