description:
Fermentations podcast is thrilled to welcome Ruby Tandoh to Glasgow Women’s Library for an evening of conversation in celebration of her new book Eat Up! A book about food, appetite, and eating what you want.

Guest hosting the event on behalf of Fermentations is publisher and writer, Laura Waddell (Nasty Women, Know Your Place).

* Tickets will be on sale 1st February via womenslibrary.org.uk *

About the book:

In Eat Up!, Ruby Tandoh celebrates the fun and pleasure of food, taking a look at everything from gluttons and gourmets in the movies, to the symbolism of food and sex. She will arm you against the fad diets, food crazes and bad science that can make eating guilt-laden and expensive, drawing eating inspiration from influences as diverse as Roald Dahl, Nora Ephron and Gemma from TOWIE. Filled with straight-talking, sympathetic advice on everything from mental health to recipe ideas and shopping tips, this is a book that clears away the fog, to help you fall back in love with food.

About the Author:

Ruby Tandoh is an author and journalist who writes for, among others, the Guardian, Elle and Vice. A finalist on the 2013 Great British Bake Off, she has published two cookery books, Crumb and Flavour. She lives in Sheffield. Twitter: @RubyTandoh

** Please note the evening will be recorded for release as part of Fermentations first podcast series.
