This panel is open to the public, but RSVP is required.

After the panel, a special tour will be given of the current exhibit of Off the Beaten Path: Violence, Women, and Art at the Global Health Odyssey Museum. It showcases the work of 28 contemporary artists from 24 countries, including Yoko Ono (Japan), Louise Bourgeois (France), Wangechi Mutu (Kenya), Mona Hatoum (Palestine), and Hank Willis Thomas (USA). Their work addresses the issues of violence against women and girls around the world, and their basic human rights to a safe and secure life. The project combines cutting-edge art with important social messaging and storytelling to help create awareness, inspiration, and address systems for positive social change and action.

TO RSVP or for more information about this panel, contact Alex Rogers at global@cdc.gov or by phone at 404.639.0830. Admission and parking are free. Driver’s license or passport and vehicle inspection required for entry.
