description:
We will rally and march on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Sunday, January 21, 2018. The theme will be “Empowering Women to Vote, Run for Office, and Support Other Women." All are invited.

Victoria Jackson-Stanley, the Mayor of Cambridge, Maryland, will speak at 2:00 p. m. at the start of the march near the Tram Station on the south end of the Boardwalk. Mayor Jackson-Stanley is both the first African-American and the first woman to be mayor of Cambridge. After Ms. Jackson-Stanley's keynote address, the groups will march up the boardwalk to N. Division Street and back.

Participants are encouraged to wear "pink pussy hats" and to bring signs honoring the undying spirit of the 2017 Ocean City Women's March, which was sponsored by the Women's Democratic Club of Worcester County last year.

A voter registration table and information on other groups and opportunities for continuing activism against the Trump administration's racist, authoritarian, corrupt, and anti-woman agenda will be available to all.

Co-sponsored by the Women's Democratic Club of Worcester County and Indivisible Worcester MD.
