January 21, 2018 marks the one year anniversary of the birth of the Women's March movement. Not only will we celebrate that moment, but we'll ask you to commit your time, your voice, your feet, and your money to making real change as we move into the 2018 elections. It is time to renew the momentum of the march and solidify the movement.

FAQ:
Is Women's March doing a March in D.C.?

The national Women’s March is not doing a march, they are hosting a voter registration drive in Las Vegas. The majority of states are not either, a few are marching and others are hosting rallies committed to action.

Why aren't we doing a March in Minnesota?

It is incumbent on the Women’s March state chapters to host an event that meets the needs of their state. From the Governors race, to two U.S. Senator races, to multiple U.S. House of Representatives seats we need to flip or hold on to, to all of the state-level races and so much more, 2018 is shaping up to be a political year to remember. In Minnesota, we need to move from a moment to a movement to harness our collective power as we go into a tide shifting election year in 2018. Beyond politics, we are working to build communities to create transformative change around each of the Women’s March Unity Principals; Ending Violence, Reproductive Rights, LGBTQIA Rights, Worker’s Rights, Civil Rights, Rights for People with Disabilities, Immigrant Rights and Environmental Justice.

How can I get involved?

Great question! We are looking for volunteers to help us shape what the Women’s March movement looks like for Minnesota! You can find a list of leader and volunteer opportunities here: https://www.womensmarchmn.com/volunteer/

Why is this event ticketed, when last year anyone could come?

Living in Minnesota means having to be prepared when it could be -10. Another unique challenge this year comes from being the state is hosting the SuperBowl. The SuperBowl Committee has rented out ALL the locations in the Twin Cities that hold more than 3,000 people. Despite all of this we are excited to present this important event inviting YOU to commit to take your activism from Marching to Moving. The event was created to ensure that the ability to purchase a ticket was not a barrier to participating. There are a variety of prices, including free!
