Following two successful fundraisers benefiting the ACLU and NYCLU, we are thrilled to support the Brooklyn-based, nationally recognized organization Lady Parts Justice, for our third benefit on Saturday, June 24th at the bar Salzy in Park Slope. Lady Parts Justice, founded by one of the co-creators of the Daily Show, is the first not safe for work, rapid response reproductive rights messaging hub that uses comedy, culture and digital media to sound an alarm about the terrifying erosion of reproductive access so people will get off their asses and reclaim their rights. Performances Include: Live music from: Mollie King, Jordan McIntyre, and Band of Others, each performing original and/or covering protest songs, with political and protest-based photography projected behind each set Dance performances from: AJ Sharp, Alexis Robbins, and Rebecca Hidalgo Comedy sets from: Jennifer Salzman, Megan Dunlop, and Lady Parts Justice’s Abby Holland and Julie Rosing A spoken word performance from: Mimi Martin We will also have a special live music and projections set from Woody Cuban B Poulard, who will close the show with his set and then continue spinning tunes into an after party. At midnight, DJ Tikka Masala will continue the dance party until 4:00am! All performances at this event will include some content that relates to the themes of protest, resistance, equality, and justice, with some focusing heavily on women’s right and reproductive rights, in honor of Lady Parts Justice. ___________________________________________________ Curated and produced by: Nasrene Haj, Gina Solebello, and Bobby HuDock The Creative Revolution is a coalition of like-minded artists, musicians, dancers, comedians, poets, and more, who produce live events to benefit progressive causes.
