Project X: Dance workshop, Thursday 10th August, 5.30pm to 8pm

Project X is an educational, cultural programme, profiling and celebrating the dances of the African diaspora. Throughout 2017, dance workshops, performances and events will take place across Glasgow.

In this workshop we will be learning traditional and contemporary dances of the African diaspora and exploring their cultural connections. From Kuku and Hoofing to Tap, Dancehall and Hip Hop, we will discover a hidden history of dance one “step” at a time!

The first dance workshop will take place on 10th August and previous to this, Project X will be screening an African dance film curated by Africa in Motion Film Festival on Thursday 3rd August.
