Am Samstag, den 2. September 2017 um 15 Uhr spricht die Kuratorin der Ausstellung „Der blinde Fleck. Bremen und die Kunst in der Kolonialzeit“ (bis 19. November 2017) mit der nigerianisch-deutschen Künstlerin Ngozi Schommers. Für die Ausstellung hat sie ihre Arbeit „(Un)framed Narratives“ (2017) installiert. Die Installation zeigt viele verschiedene Seiten des afrikanischen Kontinents und veranschaulicht diese durch Portraits von Frauen aus Nigeria, Ghana und Deutschland und kontrastiert diese mit Verpackungen aus der Kolonialzeit aus dem Übersee-Museum. #DerblindeFleck #Kolonialismus

// On Saturday, the 2 September 2017 at 3pm the curator of the exhibition “The Blind Spot: Bremen, Colonialism and Art” (until 19 November 2017) talks with the Nigerian-German artists Ngozi Schommers. For the exhibition she installed her work (Un)framed Narratives” (2017). This installation shows many aspects of the African Continent and portraits of women from Nigeria, Ghana and Germany. She is contrasting them with packaging from the colonial era.
