An Experiment in Partial Ownership

During the partial art auction C-2 invites their audience to an experiment during which we will re-negotiate the concept of ownership. This is done by auctioning and selling art one piece of art to everyone in the audience. Everyone becomes an art co-collector and prices will start at one cent. In turn co-owners acquire digital blockchain tokens representing their ownership rights. Beyond offering technical solutions to co-ownership we want, together with the audience, explore through performance, play and fiction how the relationship between several art owners can be governed. Eventually we would like to answer the question of who wants to have the Mona Lisa’s nose if you have to share the rest?
