This seminar aims at mapping the theoretical landscape of Platform Cooperativism: Who are the thought leaders, what are the books and writings we find inspiring? Who is doing research in the field of coops and their connection to the digital economy?
For today’s seminar, we’ll host students from the European University Viadrina, who pursue the #coopsviadrina-seminar during the winter term 2018/2019. It is also possible for interested individuals to join this course and help creating this map of cooperativism theory.
We’ll use techniques of visual mapping as assemblage for cultural research. The seminar’s goal is to create an overview of narratives, identities and contemporary influences that made the platform cooperativism-movement possible. This can be a starting point to facilitate individual research and further mindmaps that try to connect the dots between recent developments in sociology, economy, finance and ecology.
