Come relax and unwind with us at the London Loom on the afternoon of Sunday 29th April. The amazing feminist embroiderer and goddess behind "Big Swinging Ovaries" and "Patch Yourself Happy" Jess de Wahls will be going through everything from setting up the hoops, to various stitching techniques and styles, to get you ready for your Vagestic Mandala Embroidery.
Once we have covered the basics, Florence Schechter, founder of the Vagina Museum, will take over all things Vagina from fun facts to trivia and some serious anatomy lessons.
There will be drinks and snacks and generally awesome vibes. The workshop is held at the wonderful London Loom, London's first drop-in weaving studio.
Due to the intricate nature of the designs, you probably won't be able to finish your piece during this 5 hour class, so the cost covers your take-home-home and pattern, all threads needed to complete your piece, thread snips, needles and an instruction booklet to guide you.
No experience necessary, all materials provided. All you need to bring is yourself and a little patience.
Cost: £120 - this includes all the equipment and some refreshments.
Half of the proceeds will go toward making the world's first bricks and mortar vagina museum a reality.
Note that refunds are not available but you are able to transfer the ticket to someone else.
