Science denial is a problem, but what's its root cause and who propagates it? Science helped us understand how to farm, clean water and mitigate climate change. But is it always used to benefit humanity?
Much of how we interpret and apply science is skewed by our societal priorities. Our contingent will march for a science for the people.
We call for a push toward using science to benefit human health and the environment, but away from using it to concentrate wealth in the hands of few--via tech startups that weaken our workplace conditions, oil companies that push us toward global catastrophe or weapons manufacturers that turn us against each other by exacerbating war and conflict--as well as government policies that support them along the way.
