Description

Vier Bremer Jungs und eine Bremer Deern, verbunden durch Sandkasten-Freundschaften und die gemeinsame Liebe zur handgemachten Musik - das sind Joon & the Soulmates.

Die Band groovt sich durch Disco, Soul- und R&B Klassiker und mischt diese gekonnt mit Retro Soul neueren Datums, wie z.B. Songs von den Brand New Heavies, Brother Strut oder den Bamboos aus Australien. Ihre Interpretation des Stevie Wonder Klassikers "I wish" lässt Nostalgie aufkommen, während die funky Neuauflage von „Sledgehammer“ bedingungslos zum Tanzen einlädt. An diesem Punkt ist der Band um Sängerin Irene "Joon" Walsh nur eines wichtig: die Musik soll dem Publikum und der Band Spaß machen. Enjoy!
