Stars auf der Bühne – Das bürgerliche Kabuki-Theater

Das Kabuki-Theater ist das bürgerliche Theater der Edo-Zeit, welches gegen Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts das Puppentheater, auch Bunraku-Theater genannt, übertraf. Das Kabuki-Theater ist geprägt von Überzeichnung und Übertreibung und hatte einen enormen Einfluss in der Gesellschaft. Er erstreckte sich auf die populären Romane der Zeit, auf die Farbholzschnitte und die Mode.
