After retiring from his business career, Mark Trencher started Nishma Research, a sociological and market research firm focused on the Jewish world. He was the lead researcher for two recent studies that were the first of their kind: a 2016 study of people who have left Orthodoxy, both Haredi and Modern Orthodox, and the 2017 study of the Modern Orthodox community. He also did the JOFA Member Survey in late 2016 and presented the findings at the most recent JOFA conference.
On January 31st, JOFA will be hosting Mark Trencher for a webinar discussing the survey process and findings of the 2017 Profile of American Modern Orthodox Jews, Sponsored by the Micah Foundation. The survey featured data about the role of women and other aspects of Modern Orthodoxy that relate to JOFA's work. Survey report: https://goo.gl/7t96LU
This webinar will be moderated by Professor Sylvia Barrack Fishman, who is the Joseph and Esther Foster Professor in Judaic Studies at Brandeis University, Co-Director of the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute, and member of the JOFA Board.
