Women’s March Norway - #MeToo

At Youngstorget, 0181 Oslo, Norge
On 21st January 2018 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Description

(Info in English below)

Women’s March Norway and #MeToo are organizing a march to make clear that sexual harassment of all kinds is a widespread problem and to say, loud and clear, HOW we want things to be from now on. Join us for LOOK BACK, MARCH FORWARD on Sunday, January 21st. We’ll gather at Youngstorget before marching together to Stortinget.

The speakers will be announced shortly. Check our FB page for details!

LOOK BACK: Women’s March started one year ago as a counter reaction to, among other things, the rhetoric from the U.S. presidential campaign (“grab women by the pussy”). Women mobilized over 5 million people to march for the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and caring for the environment. Approximately 3000 people marched in Oslo, and 1000 people marched in both Trondheim and Bergen. The #metoo campaign has shown that it is not only presidents, but lots of men--especially in positions of power--who sexually harass others.

MARCH FORWARD: On the one year anniversary, 21 Jan. 2018, let us again make our voices be heard! We expect zero tolerance for sexual harassment, discrimination, and abuse of power. We want a society in which ALL people are respected! EVERYONE who believes that we should respect one another, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnicity, is WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!

JOIN US at the march, and please help us to spread the word!
