The Women who brought you The Women's March on Washington: Phoenix are coming back together to organize a reunion march in 2018. This year has been a whirlwind of highs and lows. The Women's March on Washington was the largest single-day protest in written history, and our city of Phoenix drew a crowd of 20,000 women and allies, and helped to set the stage for an impassioned resistance to an administration with an agenda that does not reflect the values of the American people. Since this time, women across America have shared their stories and stood up against their abusers with the rise of the #MeToo movement. Women of color in Alabama were able to secure the senate seat for Doug Jones in the special election that shook a historically red state to its core and showed what can be accomplished when a community works together to bring forward the vote that can change a nation. In that same spirit, we are proud to host a march and rally to call for action and bring the progressive voice and vote to Arizona. We marched to resist, and now we march to rise. We seek to bring voter registration to the communities most affected by the oppressive policies of the Trump administration. We seek to give a platform to the progressive women who seek office in our communities, and to encourage women, and especially women of color, to seek office and roles of leadership in Arizona. 2018 is our time to rise up, to register new voters with the ambition of those whose futures depend on it, knowing that these are truly the stakes we face. Join us in the fight to bring the progressive voice and VOTE to Arizona.
