Women's March on Newark 2018 NOT RALLY TICKETS

At Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, Newark (DE), United States
On 20th January 2018 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Description

THE RALLY HAS SOLD OUT. YOU CAN STILL COME TO THE MARCH IF YOU ARE NOT A RALLY TICKET HOLDER.

We will march again to commemorate the January 21, 2017, Women's March on Delaware and the Women's Marches that were held around the world on that day.

We will gather starting at 9:00 am in the UUFN parking lot.

The march will begin at 10:00 am.

We expect to finish by 10:50 am.

Limited parking will be available in the lot at UUFN, and will be reserved solely for those with handicap placards/plates.

Parking will be available on Willa Road and across the street at West Park Place School.

Please observe all posted parking restrictions. There were reports after the march last January that cars were towed that were parked at the Park&Shop. FYI.

There will be a separate Rally event beginning at approximately 11:00 am inside the UUFN building. YOU NEED AN ADDITIONAL TICKET FOR THE RALLY INSIDE AT 11AM. The link for the separate "Rally for Women's March on Newark 2018" Event is at the bottom of this description.

We are marching for a more just and compassionate world. We are people of all genders, people of many colors, people of many faiths and traditions, young, old, differently-abled, and loving whom we love, and each of us has our own story. Together #WeThePeople are leading the way!

We ask that ALL signs and chants for the march be positive in nature. Please take the time to thank any police officers who are helping with the march. Please take any trash you might generate home with you. Just as we did for the 2017 Women's March, let us treat everyone with kindness and respect. Families with children are very welcome to attend.

A ticket is not required for the march. But organizers hope everyone will get an Eventbrite ticket. This will help us plan. It also allows us to contact you by email should we need to. (Timeshift, cancellations etc. are unlikely possibilities but we would like to be able to contact you if we need to.)

RALLY TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE POST-MARCH RALLY. If you are interested in getting a ticket for the rally, please visit the Rally Facebook Event and get a ticket there. YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ENTER THE BUILDING AFTER THE MARCH TO ATTEND THE RALLY. This is because of the Fire Safety regulations. The link is: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rally-for-womens-march-on-newark-2018-tickets-41513845028

A MARCH TICKET WILL NOT GET YOU INTO THE RALLY UNLESS THERE ARE EMPTY SEATS. We do not expect there will be empty seats!

UPDATE: RALLY TICKETS SOLD OUT! We will be doing a Facebook Live Broadcast on the Delaware Women March Facebook page and we have found speakers so there will be audio from the event outside!
