Join us at 10 a.m. on January 20 as we march from the Dexter Avenue Fountain to the steps of the State Capitol to honor the one year anniversary of the Women's March. In an effort to raise awareness of the power of the vote we will host voter registration efforts and activities.
On January 21, 2017, 5 million women across the globe answered the call to show up and be counted as those who believe in a world that is equitable, tolerant, just and safe for all, one in which the human rights and dignity of each person is protected and our planet is safe from destruction.
Grounded in the nonviolent ideology of the Civil Rights movement, the Women’s March was the largest coordinated protest in U.S. history and one of the largest in world history.
One year later, cities across the country are coming together again to showcase #PowerToThePolls - a collective effort to raise awareness of the electoral process and the fights that remain to be sure all have the right to participate in that process.
